Once you have given us permission to collect location information, we may continue collecting that information in the foreground and the background without asking permission again. If you block the use of location information, the App or certain features of the App may be inaccessible or not function properly. Our third-party analytics provider may also collect location information about you, as described in this Policy.

  • Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies. We and third parties with whom we partner may use cookies, web beacons, tracking pixels, web bugs, scripts, tags, and other similar technology (collectively, “Cookies”) to record information about your activities on the Website and on third-party websites that you visit. Some Cookies remain on your device until you delete them; others are stored only during an individual session. Additionally, we may be required to disclose information about you to comply with law, or in connection with a business transition.

  • Platform Providers. We use third parties to help us operate and improve the Platform (e.g., hosting providers, e-commerce service providers, and analytics service providers). We may provide these third parties information we collect and they may collect information from you and about your use of the Platform. For example, we may be required to disclose personal information to the government or third parties under certain circumstances, third parties may unlawfully intercept or access transmissions or private communications, or users may abuse or misuse your personal information that they collect from the Platform.

Online Tracking

As discussed above, because we and our third-party service providers automatically collect Platform usage information through the use of Cookies (including as described in, Information that is Automatically Collected, and Sharing with Third Parties), your selection of the “Do Not Track” option provided by your browser may not have any effect on our collection of automatically collected information. One way to attempt to “opt out” of the collection of any information through Cookies and some (but not all) other tracking technology is to actively manage the settings on your browser to delete and disable Cookies and other tracking/recording tools. However, getting a “Do Not Track” signal to work as you might want is difficult and may not be possible. Using browsers as an example, not all tracking technologies can be controlled by browsers; unique aspects of your browser might be recognizable even if you disable a tracking technology; not all settings will necessarily last or be effective; even if a setting is effective for one purpose data still may be collected for another; and even if one website observes a “Do Not Track” signal, that website usually will not be able to control other websites. Additionally, if you select a “Do Not Track” option or disable Cookies on your device, many Platform functions may become unavailable and/or may not function properly.

4. Minors

Visitors under 18 years of age are not permitted to use and/or submit their personal information at the Website. We do not knowingly solicit or collect information from individuals under the age of 18. We encourage parents and guardians to spend time online with their children and to participate and monitor the interactive activities of their children. If your minor child has provided us with personally identifiable information, you may contact us using the contact information provided in Section 8 herein if you want this information deleted from our records. We will then make reasonable efforts to remove your child’s information from the database that stores the information.

After 30 days, we begin the process of deleting your Account from our systems. We are not responsible for any information, pictures, comments, or other content that is deleted from our systems resulting from the deactivation of your Account.

To prevent abuse and/or misuse of Wengage by a User following termination or deletion of a profile/Account we shall retain such information as we deem in our sole discretion may be necessary to ensure that User does not open a new Account and profile in breach of our Terms and Conditions of Use and to ensure compliance with all laws and regulations.

Warning: Even after you remove information from your profile or delete your Account, copies of that information may still be viewable and/or accessed to the extent such information has been previously shared with others, or copied or stored by other Users or to the extent such information has been shared with search engines. We cannot control this, nor do we accept any liability for this. If you have given third party applications or websites access to your personal information they may retain such information to the extent permitted under their terms of service or privacy policies.

Removed and deleted information may persist in backup copies for up to 30 days to enable restoration, but will not be available to others in the meantime.
